Adrienne McNamara earned her doctorate in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis on Exercise Physiology and a minor in Nutrition from Oregon State University in 2010. She has extensive experience teaching exercise science and wellness concepts to individuals of all ages. Additionally, she has specific expertise in the field of exercise for balance and bone health for older adults, knowledge that carries over well to working with those with neurological balance disorders. She is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist, with an additional Exercise is Medicine credential. Dr. McNamara is also passionate about exercise and diabetes, as she is a type 1 diabetic athlete herself. She believes strongly in the medicinal function of exercise and the essential role that it plays in an individuals’ overall well being. She is currently the director of the Integrative Health Center and is available to patients for comprehensive fitness assessment and exercise counseling.
